    SLHL:  What selections do you make first in doing a kitchen remodel?
    Chris: An appliance wish list is essential to determine the overall layout of a kitchen. Cabinetry typically comes next.  As the most dominant feature of the room, it can drive the design.

    SLHL: How do you help homeowners come up with a bath design they are seeking?
    Anne
    : First, I learn about the client and who is using the space. Then, I genuinely listen to them… their dream spaces, their “Pinterests,” what they envision and I ask what functionality is missing for them in the space. I try to drive each project by the client’s needs.

    SLHL: Does decorative outdoor lighting require special voltage?

    Carla: Most decorative outdoor lighting such as portable lamps, chandeliers, pendants and fans with light kits are all line-voltage products. Line-voltage lighting can be hardwired to a junction box or can plug right into your outdoor receptacle.
