Magleby Construction
This back yard was extremely personal as it was designed for the owner and CEO of Magleby Construction. He wanted a space that was intimate yet flexible for entertainment and year-round usage in Utah. With four children at home at the time of construction, integrating an elegant, covered outdoor dining area featuring Kalamazoo appliances (including a pizza oven) made it the most popular spot in town to host pool parties! Concept 2 Design
The design concept for this South Miami home centers on creating a distinct outdoor space that is functional and built for daily use and year-round entertaining. The pergola houses lounge seating around the TV and a fully equipped outdoor kitchen finished with black honed granite countertops, integrated stainless steel appliances and a stone tile surround that adds depth to the structure. The drapery was added to soften the hard finishes completing the room as a true extension of the house. Photography by Denice Lachapelle.

Gardens of Grace
This pergola was designed on a slant to maximize the available space while providing additional afternoon shade. The thoughtful layout creates a seamless flow between cooking, dining and relaxing around the firepit, making the space perfect for both everyday use and evening gatherings.  Landworth DeBolske Architecture
The site contained a high retaining wall and a pool with no amenities. An outdoor room and a pool house were proposed to mitigate the oppressive wall. A new landscape and hardscape design was developed to pull all the elements together. Photography by Tracey Landworth Photography.

Landsmith Landscape Design & Construction
The goal was to create a cozy outdoor extension of the home; the challenge was a wide open yard. Drawing the fence close to the patio was the breakthrough that allowed the rest of the layout to fall into place. The patio is sunken into the hill with a fireplace for warmth, bubbling boulder for relaxation and a cedar pergola to tie it all together.  Photography by Kim Dillon.
