When designing the 15-year-old daughter’s bathroom, the homeowner wanted something that was youthful yet able to grow with her teen into her young adult years. Playing off the home’s moody colors, the design team decided on purples and blues to adorn the space. A vibrant but timeless wallpaper pattern provided the jumping off point for the rest of the bathroom’s design. The soft lavender vanity with chic hardware anchors the space, while soft blue tile details the shower walls, instantly elevating the bathroom while the penny tile flooring helps unify the color palette. Fresh yet timeless, playful yet poised, this bathroom is designed to mature gracefully over time.
Why the judges love it:
Each of the colors—down to the lavender paint and soft blue tiles—were expertly chosen to match the wallpaper and create stunning contrast with the darker navy accents. The judges also took note of the cabinetry, which is bespoke in its own ways with fun details like the flower-shaped pulls.
