2024 Gold Winner, 103-110 square feet - Dana King Design Build Remodeling

Dana King Design Build Remodeling transformed this turn-of-the-century home’s bathroom in a dramatic remodel. Looking for a primary bathroom that accommodates both busy mornings and relaxing evenings, the designer chose to not remove any walls, opting instead to demo a closet and place a standing shower with a frameless glass enclosure in the previous space. High ceilings are accentuated with a mural wallpaper and gold, sculpted leaf chandelier. For storage, custom cabinets with screen doors are built-in around the radiator and the cabinets’ drawer bottoms include venting to create towel warming drawers. Strong black-and-white tones are present throughout the space and add artfulness and harmony in the primary bath.

Why the judges love it: The ceiling wallpaper and statement light fixture immediately draw your eyes into the space. The layout of the shower and tub, as well as the use of color, create a stunning place to wind down at the end of the day.
