This 300-square-foot master bathroom was designed by Marc Christian Fine Cabinetry and Interior Visions in an updated traditional style to give the homeowners an elegant space. Soft-white painted custom beaded inset vanities; a makeup vanity and dresser maximize the storage and functionality of the bath. The vanities are accented with polished nickel exposed finial hinges and hardware as well as decorative integrated feet and paneled ends. His-and-her vanities have undermount rectangular sinks and polished nickel plumbing fixtures. The sit-down makeup vanity has a custom arched and beveled tri-view mirror and wall-mounted high-magnifying lighted makeup mirror. Exquisite Calcutta marble-inspired porcelain tile is used in a herringbone pattern on the floor and in a subway pattern on the shower walls with matching mosaic tile on the floor, ceiling and custom niches. The shower was designed with half walls and glass panels above for an open feeling. The freestanding Bain Ultra bathtub takes center stage below the vaulted ceiling, large windows and traditional chandelier.
Why the judges love it:
For a big bathroom, this space does not feel overwhelming. The designers did a fabulous job creating a simple design with elegant accents. The light fixture adds the right amount of warmth to the space.
