Peaceful Retreat
After 25 years in their home, the owners decided to gut their master suite. Desiring a clean, peaceful space to retreat, they worked with designer Nancy Barrett, Beautiful Rooms, LLC, to create the space of their dreams. A fresh, patterned fabric set the natural color palette of gold, white and gray.
For a more open look, the wall that enclosed the commode was removed and a wall-hung vanity was specified. Multiple tile choices, in shades of gray, were applied to the floor and shower pan to create stripes on the shower walls and tub splash. The variety of tile and quartz surfaces make the monochromatic bones of the room interesting while keeping a clean look. Sparkle was added in the light fixtures and crystal embedded wallcovering on the vanity wall. Accent towels and accessories in gold complete the look.
Why the judges love it:
This bathroom is tastefully done. The mixture of the different materials brings texture to the space. We love the addition of river rock in the shower.
