A breathtaking but non-functional bathroom was given a much needed makeover by Karr Bick Kitchen + Bath. Adjustments to the bathroom’s layout were key, removing the sink from in front of the toilet and adjusting the previous cave-like tiled shower. Natural stone countertops and a marble mosaic floor replace the older, decorative tile. A double vanity sits along the old shower wall and the wall-mounted faucets add additional “getting ready” storage. The new shower is now combined with the tub, and polished nickel fixtures throughout the room help relate back to the original historic feel.
Why the judges love it: This bathroom’s impressive transformation is incredibly well-thought-out. The balance between old and new allows the space to keep its historic feel while still adding new, modern comforts.
